Today in History

On this day in 1981 the New York Yankees captured their 33rd A.L. pennant beating the Oakland A's. I picked this because the Yankees are my favorite baseball team. In 1995 the Carolina Panthers won their first ever win beating the Giants 26-15. This is important to me because I am a huge football fan. Today in 1988 the Oklahoma Sooners set the NCAA record for rushing with 768 yards. I picked this because I rush the ball and I think this is pretty cool. Today in 1923 the Yankees won their first ever World Series championship. Again the Yankees are my favorite baseball team.
